- Hello, I am David Rumptz the husband of a fantastic woman and father to two wonderful children. I have been teaching since 1996 in 7 countries. I have been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and teacher training in ESL. I started teaching in the US Peace Corps Philippines where I married my language teacher, only 4 months after we met! Then we had our first child, Andrew, in the Philippines. Our daughter Ashley was born in Brooklyn NY while I was in the Peace Corps Fellowship Program at Columbia University / Teachers College earning my Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages(TESOL.
